Hydropower represents 20% of power generation in France and is essential to the global energy balance, as it is the only solution than can quickly respond to a short-term power increase. The reliability of turbines is essential. Some of them have been in service for over 100 years making maintenance operations even more critical in case of breakdown. To face this issue, EDF needs a centralized solution to monitor 1 100 already existing hydro units and be able to avoid important time of outage in case of severe damage.
