Acoem accelerates its international expansion with new services

Acoem, leader in environmental monitoring, offers all actors involved in the fight against noise the guarantee of making their decisions based on perfectly reliable measurements.

Since February 2019, Acoem can issue accredited calibration certificates complying with the requirements of ISO / IEC 17025 and covering wider territories: Europe from the laboratory in France and Asia Pacific since that of Australia. This new accreditation is an additional guarantee of quality for the testing and calibration services offered by 01dB.

A confirmation of the competence of Acoem

Accreditation of our laboratories according to the ISO / IEC 17025 standard is proof that they have the technical skills and the management system necessary to permanently and impartially provide perfectly reliable results.

The result of several years of documentation of our processes to prove control of the entire measurement chain, it provides customers with an additional guarantee of the quality of services.

Our Limonest laboratory, accredited by COFRAC

Acoem, has for years been an approved body in legal metrology for the periodic verification of sound level meters. This approval is essential to attest to the sincerity and loyalty of a measure in the context of French noise regulations.

To this approval is added today the accreditation according to the international standard ISO / IEC 17025: 2005. Issued by COFRAC on February 1st, 2019, it concerns the activities of sound level meter testing and calibration of acoustic calibrators made by the Acoem lab in Limonest.

This accreditation makes it possible, in particular, for Acoem’s conformity tests and periodic calibrations to be recognized internationally, in all countries that have signed a recognition agreement with COFRAC. It will allow customers outside France to use the Acoem sound meters without having to go through a third party.

« This accreditation validates the competence of our laboratory and the quality and impartiality of our results. The application of ISO / IEC 17025 to our calibration and testing activities ensures that we are in control of the entire measurement chain, including uncertainty calculation. It is a strong guarantee of quality.»

Our laboratory in Melbourne receives the extension of its accreditation for acoustics by NATA

A few weeks after the Acoem laboratory in France, Acoem’s Australian laboratory, previously accredited in calibration and testing of air measurement stations according to ISO / IEC 17025 by NATA, received an extension for the acoustic perimeter.

The specially designed laboratory in late 2018 was created to meet customer demand for ISO 17025 compliance and reduced maintenance times in Australia and Asia. It was also a logical step based on the close working relationship between the French and Australian teams (Ecotech acquisition in 2017).

For a global service to all users of our products

Thanks to this double accreditation, sound meters manufactured by Acoem can now be delivered with a primitive calibration certificate valid in many countries. Users no longer need to use the services of a local laboratory.

Sound level meters can also be assigned to Acoem for periodic checks. By going through the manufacturer of their equipment, users benefit from a more complete service: global control, possible repairs, firmware update and calibration. They can also obtain in some cases a warranty extension.

« With these two accreditations, our calibration certificates (primitive and periodic) are valid in many countries. We are now able to offer a global service of maintenance to our customers, which includes the control, the repair if necessary, the update of the firmware and the certified calibration. »
