User Experience is Everything
That’s why our focus has always been on user experience. We designed our interfaces to be intuitive, visual, and language-free. With GuideU™, our animated, icon-based interface, we guide users through each step, clearly and consistently, no matter what task they’re performing.
Acoem’s Legacy of Innovation
Our commitment to usability goes back over two decades. Long before smartphones became ubiquitous, Acoem pioneered the use of touchscreens in industrial tools. In fact, our first portable device featuring a touchscreen with a single button at the bottom was released 10 years before the first iPhone. This innovation set the foundation for the icon-based, animated guidance interfaces we are known for today.
From shaft alignment to balancing and diagnostics, the look and feel of all our solutions remains the same. The same 3D graphics. The same screen layout. The same logic. That consistency is critical. It builds confidence, reduces error, and makes switching between apps seamless.
A Unified Platform for All Your Maintenance Needs
This is what we mean by a consistent user experience. With the AT series for shaft alignment vibration diagnostic, and now a wireless balancing tool, we’ve built a unified platform. All apps share the same visual environment. Whether aligning a machine, performing an OL2R thermal growth check, working on a multi-coupling train, or running a diagnostic, it all works the same way.
It may look simple, but it’s far from it.
Embedded Intelligence, Intuitive Use
This focus on UX has been in our DNA since the early days of Fixturlaser. We were first to introduce touch screens, icon-based UIs and animated guidance. Now, with solutions like the Machine Defender and Bearing Defender, we’re embedding diagnostic intelligence into that same intuitive format.
Empowering More People With a Wireless Ecosystem
If you take a look at the lifecycle of maintenance processes in industry and what’s needed to implement state-of-the-art best practices in machinery reliability, you find a range of needs:
- Identifying if something is going wrong
- Undertaking basic checks to understand machine health
- Acting when necessary, whether it’s shaft alignment, balancing, or simple bearing greasing
- Getting as much guidance as possible throughout each step
- Verifying that after maintenance, everything is conforming post-maintenance, to avoid repeat failures due to poor commissioning
These needs exist across all industries. However, traditionally, the expertise required was spread among different specialists. It was inconceivable for one person to cover all these tasks.
By following our development philosophy, we’ve made solutions accessible to more people, helping industries avoid growing challenges in skills management, as experienced experts retire and turnover rates rise.
We’ve delivered a wireless ecosystem to the market, giving industry every opportunity to implement a durable, effective reliability strategy.
Looking Ahead: Continuous Improvement Without Compromise
Of course, there will be more additions to our ecosystem, including in shaft alignment solutions, always taking into consideration what can be done to maximize the benefits for people in the field, all without compromising ease of use. Because the best way to ensure reliability in the field is to make every step feel natural, even under pressure and in the worst possible environmental conditions.
In short, we don’t aim to do more. We aim to do better, and by doing better, we empower people to do more so that every user, in every situation, can act quickly, confidently; and accurately.
