Acoem is proud to be the principal partner at CASANZ

With a 45-year history, Acoem has always had a strong connection with the Clean Air Society of Australia & New Zealand’s annual conference. This year is the first ever CASANZ virtual conference, marking a distinct change in platform, so it is only fitting that Acoem has chosen CASANZ 2021 “Air Quality in Unprecedented Times” as the event to introduce its new identity — Acoem.

One chapter ends, another begins

Robert Dal Sasso, the founder of Acoem Austral Asia, previously Ecotech Pty Ltd, attended his first CASANZ conference in the 1970s and over the ensuing 40+ years, he and members of the Ecotech team have always actively participated in CASANZ events, as an exhibitor or sponsor or both. Since 1976 when Acoem began, Robert has dedicated his working life to the betterment of air quality by bringing reliable and accurate measurement tools and techniques to the Australian and New Zealand markets. In recognition, Robert was awarded CASANZ’s Clean Air Medal in 2000 in recognition of his significant contribution to the prevention of atmospheric pollution.

The Dal Sasso family made the decision to become part of the Acoem group in 2017 and since then, the company has grown and gone from strength to strength, capitalising on Acoem’s global presence and solution driven vision. Starting 2021, Ecotech will officially be known as Acoem, but what will not change is our commitment to delivering the highest quality and most trusted environmental solutions.

Together with our extended team of 800+ environmental and maintenance solution specialists and 150 distributors around the world, we believe in helping our customers find the right balance between progress and preservation by empowering industries, government, researchers and communities to make enlightened decisions based on accurate and reliable information. Our participation in CASANZ is an essential part of what we do.

Get to know Acoem’s tailored solutions and our management team

At CASANZ 2021, we are excited to be the principal partner and give our Australian and New Zealand audience the opportunity to better understand the Acoem brand.

On Tuesday 18 May, we will be hosting a special 45-minute webinar for our CASANZ colleagues and guests. Acoem global CEO, Fabien Condemine, will talk about the importance of building upon Acoem’s 45–year foundation and highlight a number of pioneering and significant air quality projects that Acoem is involved in around the world.

Managing Director of Acoem Australia, James Agius will discuss our ongoing commitment to tailoring our solutions to the Australian and New Zealand markets, as well as our NATA accredited & MEASNET certified Calibration Services and extended Operations & Maintenance area, servicing companies and industries across Australia.

Then, Grant Kassell, our Engineering, Research & Development Manager will highlight two of our most innovative solutions — Integro™ LIDAR Network and DustRover™ monitoring technologies.

Happy retirement to Robert Dal Sasso

The culmination of the virtual session will be an opportunity for CASANZ members to say “goodbye, good luck and happy retirement” to Robert Dal Sasso – a stalwart of the global environmental monitoring industry – who announced his retirement.

After a long and illustrious career, Acoem Austral Asia founder and environmental monitoring pioneer Robert Dal Sasso decided to retire last year. Due to the pandemic and Melbourne being in lockdown for much of 2020, Acoem did not get a chance to give him a proper send off, nor have we been able to plan an in-person celebration due to ongoing travel restrictions. So, in the spirit of friendship and virtual solutions, we are putting together a “GOOD LUCK, GOODBYE and HAPPY RETIREMENT” electronic card. We invite you to be part of our global effort by clicking here and leaving a message to send your regards and best wishes to Robert.

Watch to win

And of course, we will be giving away our infamous ‘door prize’ — an Acoem tradition at every CASANZ conference since 2017, and this year it will be our inaugural ‘screen prize. Be sure to attend the special 45-minute Acoem webinar for your chance to win.
