Your Mission

As an experienced Field Service Technician, this is an excellent opportunity for you to utilise your specialist knowledge and further develop your skills. Ideally, your experience will be from an electronic/scientific instrumentation or trade background where you have proven yourself by demonstrating strong technical skills.

In this role, you would be responsible for maintaining air pollution monitoring equipment and will be exposed to a variety of different measuring technologies.  To be successful you would be comfortable working on various electronic instruments, calibration equipment and will also have experience with data logging and telemetry.

Typically, you will need to demonstrate a high degree of self-sufficiency and the ability to independently troubleshoot a variety of measurement systems.  As much of the work is NATA accredited, diligent and thorough record-keeping is an essential part of this role.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Coordinating and planning of scheduled and unscheduled operations and maintenance service visits to existing customers
  • Providing high-level technical support to customers and internal staff as required
  • Performing maintenance procedures on environmental monitoring systems
  • Performing installation and commissioning on new monitoring systems
  • Technical troubleshooting as required
  • Maintaining and enhancing our safety culture.

What qualifications, skills & experience would you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree, trade certificate or advanced degree in electrical/electronic or relevant scientific discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience, preferably in a field technician/engineering role
  • Coordinating and planning of scheduled and unscheduled operations and maintenance service visits to existing customers.
  • Providing high level technical support to customers and internal staff as required
  • Performing maintenance procedures on environmental monitoring systems
  • Performing installation and commissioning on new monitoring systems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team
  • Precise, accurate and diligent record-keeping skills.
