Your Mission

As a Workshop Systems Technician your duties will be covering workshop systems builds; manufacturing of Acoem monitoring systems, assisting with sourcing and specifying suitable components, assisting the manufacturing workshop with all documentation needs, and quality compliance of systems.

Key responsibilities will include

  • The integration and manufacturing of systems
  • Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings
  • Problem solving and communication of issues or improvements to engineers
  • Catering for all workshop engineering tasks
  • Organisation of parts handling during manufacture stage
  • Maintaining production manufacturing equipment
  • General factory maintenance
  • Completing basic service repairs to systems & instruments
  • Maintaining workshop OH&S standards
  • Transporting, packaging, using and manual handling sensitive electronic equipment and tools in a responsible and safe manner.

What qualifications, skills & experience would you need to be successful in this role?

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (TAFE certificate/diploma, or equivalent)
  • Previous related experience in a similar role is essential
  • Hands on mechanical/fabrication experience is required.
  • Instrumentation background or suitable mechanical & electrical skills
  • Skilled in the use of various hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment commonly used in the mechanical assemble and fabrication
  • The ability to assemble and disassemble mechanical components and systems accurately and efficiently.
