Your Mission

Working as a Senior Field Service Technician, at Acoem Brisbane branch based in Banyo s your opportunity to use your scientific instrumentation, field service or electronics experience while being part of a global leader in air quality monitoring solutions. In the Field Service department, our focus is to provide clients with operations and maintenance services of their Air Quality Monitoring Systems to the highest level.

To be successful you would be comfortable working on various electronic instruments, calibration equipment and will also have experience with data logging and telemetry. There will be travel throughout Queensland and occasional interstate and overseas travel.

Typically, you will need to demonstrate a high degree of self-sufficiency and the ability to independently troubleshoot a variety of measurement systems.  As much of the work is NATA accredited, diligent and thorough record-keeping is an essential part of this role. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Coordinating installation and commissioning of environmental monitoring systems in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Performing routine and non-routine maintenance on assigned projects in accordance with maintenance schedules.
  • Providing high-level technical support to customers and assisting with customer training as required.
  • Ensuring service delivery of Branch maintenance contracts are in accordance with project deliverables, company policies, and Standards and costs.
  • Maintaining and enhancing customer relationships to leverage additional opportunities.
  • Providing operational assistance of the Queensland Branch.
  • Responsible for training of new technicians.
  • Assisting sales and business development teams as required.
  • Maintaining and enhancing our safety culture.

What qualifications, skills & experience would you need to be successful?

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (TAFE certificate/diploma or equivalent).
  • Previous related experience such as ambient air quality, particulate / dust, CEMS monitoring and environmental instrumentation would be highly regarded.
  • Instrumentation background and/or suitable mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Project Management and Leadership skills (Team leader or Supervisor).
  • Experience with industrial communications protocols.
  • Sound level of computer literacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team.
  • Accurate and diligent record keeping skills.
