Your day-to-daymissions and tasks

• Providing in-house and on-site technical support, installation supervision and commissioning support of:
  • Gas Analysis Systems including sample conditioning systems, PLC Panels and instrumentation wiring
  • Particulate Monitors
• Performing hands-on, on-site, calibration, condition assessment, troubleshooting, service and repairs for the same systems
• Providing technical support to external customers to effectively resolve customer issues
• Commissioning From kick off to acceptance
• Subcontractor Management
• Preparing and reviewing site service reports in a timely fashion
• Coordinating and planning of scheduled on site servicing
• Carry out work in line with applicable standards 
• Suggesting product and process improvements within the business to enhance operations and customer service.
• Maintain electronic and paper documentation for Preventive Maintenance, Mechanical Integrity tasks, and regulatory required calibrations
• Respond to unplanned maintenance in a timely manner
• Maintain and promote a safe work environment at all times and follow Safe Work Practices
• Plan each field trip thoroughly to ensure all necessary tools, spares and equipment are available to complete pending and current tasks. Also ensure sufficient equipment/spares are on hand to attend most foreseeable failures
• Ensure servicing work is carried out in accordance with customer requirements, the directives of the Data Reporting Services Department, and the requirements of the Quality System
• Ensure work areas are maintained in a clean, safe and presentable state including off-site areas
• Assist Management with the allocation and prioritizing of servicing activities and resources
• Ensure that inspections and tests required by the quality system are carried out and recorded by relevant personnel and approved where required
• Cabinet fitting (plumbing, wiring)
• Components installation (Din Rail, 6U, power supply, relays)
• Setting up / configuration of Gateways and  Modems & Datalogger
• Provide feedback and assistance to other Ecotech units (Environment Reporting Services, R&D, Sales) for the continued development of Ecotech’s business, products and procedures

# Important : what are the essential elements to apply?

• We are looking for an electrical technician with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role 
• Knowledge of  standard measurement tools in acoustics and vibration
• Ability to self-learn, and comfortable in using instruments and software

# What skills are needed?

• Highly driven, professional attitude
• An uncompromising attitude to safety
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• High level computer skills
• Prior industry experience and knowledge of control systems, PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and Ex equipment will be highly regarded
• Familiar with general project contractor requirements, and all relevant submission documents required by project contractor
• Use of all types of testing equipment
• Ability to work independently or within a group
• Self-motivated independent worker
• Qualified to carry out electrical inspection and test on electrical systems
